The Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives is a project coordinated by Ohio State University and Georgia State University that compiles a diverse range of people's stories about their formative experiences with reading and writing. The DALN has assembled a list of questions to help spur the memories and ideas of participants as they begin to formulate their personal story. Not all of these questions will apply to you. For this first notebook prompt, select 3 or 4 of these questions and use each as the starting point for some exploratory free-writing. You're not simply trying to "answer" each question with facts and information; use these as a starting point for thinking about your own experiences as a story. Take each question as a point of departure, and dig into it for a paragraph or two.
